Clearhly is a members-only marketplace. Every rights holder who lists catalog is a KYB-verified business, and every listing carries a warranty from its poster. This page describes the controls we run today and how to reach us when something looks wrong.
Don't take our word for it. Anyone, signed in or not, can enter a Clearhly clearance number and see the holder, the track, the territory and the term it actually covers.

Rights holders are reviewed by our verification team before any listing goes live. The steps below are the ones captured in the verification form; each submission sits in a manual review queue and is approved, rejected with a written reason, or sent back for re-review.
- Legal entity check against a public registry;
- Beneficial ownership declaration;
- Government-issued ID for the account representative;
- Rights / catalog attestation, signed by an authorized signatory.
Listing controls
- Every listing carries the verified legal name of the posting entity, no anonymous listings;
- Preview audio is served with rate limits;
- Any user can flag a listing they believe is misrepresented.
Data protection
KYB documents are encrypted at rest and only accessible to Clearhly's verification team. See our Privacy Policy for retention periods and your rights.
Reporting
- Copyright takedowns: see DMCA & Disputes.
- Security disclosures: see the contact page.
- Reporting a listing or content: use the contact page and choose "Report content or a listing".
How money moves
Payments are processed by Stripe. The license fee is collected through Clearhly's Stripe account, held for 14 days after payment is confirmed, then transferred to the rights holder's Stripe account minus Clearhly's success fee. If either side raises a dispute inside that window, the release pauses until it is resolved.
Stripe is a licensed payment services provider and processes every payment, hold, transfer and refund. Clearhly is not a bank or e-money institution. Full detail is in Section 8 of the Terms.
What Clearhly doesn't do
We are not a party to any license our users form, we do not draft or enforce license agreements, and we do not warrant that a verified holder actually owns any specific work. Ongoing revenue-share income is never collected by us; it stays between the two parties. See our Disclaimers.
