What this covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage (localStorage, session storage) that Clearhly, operated by Eternal Media UG (haftungsbeschränkt), uses. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
Your choices by region
We show a consent banner on your first visit and adapt it to where you are:
- EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: nothing beyond strictly necessary storage is used until you actively accept it. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and you can withdraw consent at any time with no effect on the service you get.
- United States: you can opt out of all non-essential cookies and of any sharing of usage data at any time using the same control.
- Everywhere else: the same controls are available; we default to giving you the choice rather than assuming it.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
Sign-in sessions and authentication tokens, security and abuse prevention, the record of your cookie choice itself, and unfinished forms you are typing (listing drafts, holder applications) so a reload does not destroy your work. These cannot be switched off, because the marketplace cannot function without them. Typical lifetime: session up to 12 months.
Preferences (optional)
Interface state such as saved admin views, dismissed announcements and hints, your last used workspace, and product tour progress. Typical lifetime: up to 12 months. Switching this off stops us storing any of it and deletes anything already stored straight away, so the interface forgets those choices between visits.
Analytics (optional)
Aggregate, non-identifying measurement of which pages and flows are used, so we can fix what is confusing, including counting a listing view or preview play once per day. We do not use analytics storage to build advertising profiles. Typical lifetime: up to 12 months. Switching this off stops those measurement events being recorded from your browser by our own analytics and by our hosting provider. Analytics consists of our own first-party counting and our hosting provider's built-in analytics, which sets the session-id cookie (30 minutes). We use no tag manager or advertising pixel.
Embedded media (optional)
Some listings have no uploaded preview file and instead offer a Spotify player. That player is loaded from Spotify and sets its own storage on your device under Spotify's terms, so it does not load until you allow this category or choose to load a single player yourself. Leaving it off means you see a short notice with a load button in place of the player.
Marketing (not in use)
We do not currently set advertising or retargeting cookies. The category exists in the consent tool so that, if this ever changes, it is off by default and requires your consent first.
Third parties
Some strictly necessary storage is set by infrastructure providers acting on our behalf, including our authentication and database provider. Embedded audio previews may load media from third-party hosts, which can set their own storage when you play a preview. We do not sell cookie data.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the control below, or the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer, at any time. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which resets your choice and brings the banner back.
Record of consent
Your choice, the categories you allowed, and the timestamp of the decision are stored in your own browser so we can honour it and demonstrate that consent was given. Changing your choice overwrites that record.
