Clearhly is a members-only marketplace that connects KYB-verified music rights holders with licensees who need music cleared. We built it because the simple parts of a clearance deal (finding the right holder, agreeing on scope and closing terms) still happen over cold email, forwarded PDFs and multi-week phone tag.
How it works
- Rights holders complete KYB before they can list their catalog.
- Rights holders publish structured listings: work, roles, the licenses they grant, the use cases they allow, territories, term, and pricing.
- Licensees browse, submit a clearance request with intended use, and negotiate on-platform.
- Deals are formed directly between the parties. The upfront payment runs through the platform via Stripe, and Clearhly's flat success fee is deducted at release.
What we're not
We are not a publisher, label, PRO, or collecting society. We do not grant licenses, and we are not a bank or payment institution. Where a deal has an upfront cash component, the licensee pays it on the platform through Stripe: the money is held for 14 days after payment is confirmed, then released to the rights holder with our success fee deducted.
